🚨 Apple's New Mac Studio and Studio Display

Apple did not disappoint during yesterday’s event! After small updates to iPhone SE and iPad Air, Apple announced their new high-performance chip, the M1 Ultra. It’s an incredibly powerful processor, and is now available in the all new Mac Studio.
Apple’s latest desktop computer is like several Mac minis stacked on each other. It measures 7.7" square by 3.7" tall, and Mac Studio is available with either the M1 Max chip for $1,999 or M1 Ultra for $3,999.
Most compelling about this high-performance desktop is the port selection. Four Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back, plus 2 USB-A, HDMI, and “pro-audio” headphone jack. On the front there are two USB-C ports and an SD card slot! Plus if you get the M1 Ultra version, those two front-facing ports become Thunderbolt 4.
Complimenting the new Mac Studio, Apple also released the new Studio Display, a 27" 5K monitor starting at $1,599. Great to see Apple offering more affordable monitors, and the Studio Display has great features like Center Stage on its front-facing camera, Spatial Audio 6-speaker array, one Thunderbolt port, and 3 USB-C ports on the back.
I’ll bet getting an M1 Max Mac Studio desktop on launch day, March 18 and will report back! For now, you can check out my thoughts on Apple’s new desktop in the video below! I also did a 15 minute recap podcast covering everything Apple announced at the event, link below.
For churches looking to upgrade their ProPresenter or LED Wall computers, you should seriously consider the Mac Studio. Lots of connectivity, including a built-in HDMI port, and if you need lots of GPU power for video playback and recording, the M1 Ultra version has you covered.
